伴随着冬日暖阳，石室中学北湖校区迎来了主题为：“千年石室梦，一颗中国心”第八届英语活动周。

在开幕式上，石室中学田间校长用英语为开幕式致辞，田校长回顾了文翁兴学2160年盛大纪念活动，鼓励同学们探寻先贤们的足迹继往开来，发扬并传播石室文翁精神。田校长寄语，希望同学们能迸发出学习英语的热情，尽情享受英语之旅，收获英语活动带来的乐趣。

美高AP课程学术校长Adam、加拿大BC课程学术校长Martine以及两位外教老师给全场师生带来了精彩的脱口秀，美高AP课程”Drama Club”的同学们精心准备的小合唱《We Are the Sun》将开幕式的现场气氛推向高潮，使同学们充分领略到英语的魅力！

接下来，为期一周的英语活动周将给全校师生呈现出一场英语的饕餮盛宴：英语书法比赛、英语演讲比赛、英语综艺晚会、英语戏剧晚会等等，让我们一起徜徉在英语的海洋里。

Good morning, dear students and teachers:

Today is Dec.9. One month ago，we held a grand ceremony in memory of Wenweng, who established Shishi Jinshe  more than 2000 years ago.  Each of us is proud of Shishi today and it is our shared dream to make ourselves the pride of Shishi tomorrow. To achieve that goal, we must work hard and enjoy study . We will make our own contributions to our motherland and the world, as our alumni have done or are doing or will do.

As the world is becoming a global village, we should learn English well in order to communicate with the world. So let’ study English together with passion.

Last, I hope you can seize the golden chance of this English Week to practice your overall abilities and show your talents.
